How NOT to woo a client

(Hint: It’s like dating)

Hey amigo,

So, I read this story a while ago about a guy who went on a date…

and let's just say, it was a disaster.

This guy shows up way too eager—flowers, fancy dinner plans, the whole shebang.

But what happened?

His date was totally turned off.

She wanted to take things slow, get to know him,

and he was already talking about future vacations.

Cringe, right? 😬

Now, as funny as this is, it reminded me of how some people approach business.

Whether you're an agency owner or a coach, sometimes we get too eager with potential clients.

You send that first cold outreach, expecting to close the deal in a heartbeat.

But the reality is, much like dating, most clients need time.

They’re not ready to jump into a partnership after one email or call.

It’s about building trust, nurturing the relationship,

and staying top-of-mind without coming off as too pushy.

So, slow it down a little.

Consistency wins the race here—follow-up at the right moments,

offer value over time, and be genuinely helpful.

Because eventually, the same client that seemed distant will start seeing you as the solution they need.

If you want to know exactly how I use this approach to help agencies and coaches scale to $20K+ per month...
