How To Actually Sign Agency Clients

I've signed countless clients using this simple strategy

Hey Amigos,

You know that feeling when you’ve sent a cold outreach, and you’re just waiting... and waiting... and waiting for a reply that never comes?

Grrrrr… it’s frustrating, right?

But here’s the thing: sometimes, it’s not that your prospect isn’t interested.

It’s that life gets in the way...

or your email/dm just got buried under a mountain of others.

That’s where the art of the follow-up comes in.

I've had instances where simple follow-up emails led me to sign high-value clients for my agency.

A well-timed follow-up email can be the difference between a closed door and an open one.

It shows your prospect that you’re committed...

That you care enough to check back in.

It keeps you top-of-mind without being pushy.

But, there’s a trick to it.

You don’t want to be that person who’s constantly poking them.

Instead, think of your follow-up as a gentle nudge...

A reminder that you’re still here, ready and waiting to help solve their problems.

Here’s what I’ve found works best:

1. Timing is Everything

Wait a few days, sometimes even a week, before following up.

You don’t want to seem desperate, but you also don’t want to wait so long that they forget about you.

2. Be Brief but Personal

Keep your follow-up short and to the point, but make sure to reference your previous conversation or email.

It shows that you’re not just blasting out generic messages.

3. Add Value

Include something useful in your follow-up—maybe a quick tip, a relevant article, or even a case study that relates to their business.

This gives them a reason to engage with you again.

Remember, persistence is key.

Most deals aren’t closed on the first email/DM.

In fact, many need a few touchpoints before you get a solid “yes.”

So, if you’re feeling disheartened because your inbox is a little too quiet, don’t give up just yet.

Sometimes, it’s that 10th or 11th follow-up that finally gets you the response you’ve been waiting for.

Keep going. Your next big client could be just one follow-up away.

Signing out,

Joe

P.S: I recorded a video showing how I closed a $1200/Mo client without doing any outreach myself.
